founded Pancoast Benefits in 1985 to provide benefit plan marketing and consulting for major employers nationwide.
Before starting Pancoast Benefits, Fred spent 25 years in the college coaching ranks, primarily in the Southeastern Conference. Among other honors, he was Coach of the Year runner-up in the SEC while posting a winning record at Vanderbilt University.

In 1980, he became the Director of Human Resources at Murray Manufacturing Company – an organization with over 4,000 employees. Fred left this position and began Pancoast Benefits with a greater understanding of the vital role benefits play in recruiting, retention and a company's return on investment.
Much of his business success can be attributed to the dedicated attention to the following fundamentals:

- Constant awareness of employee needs.
- Experienced and innovative staff.
- State-of-the-Art Benefit Communication Programs.
Pancoast is active in local professional organizations such as the , national and local , the and numerous civic projects.
In March 2008, Fred was honored with the
President’s
Volunteer Service Award. Last year, he received the 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award from Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. |
Brent began his career with Pancoast Benefits in 1996 and was named president on
January 1, 2006 , thereby assuming all operational responsibilities of the
company. Previously, he served as vice president of sales and marketing. He is
an active member of the Middle Tennessee Association of Health Underwriters and
the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. Brent is a graduate of the University of
Mississippi where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Tom has specialized in the employee benefits field for over 32 years. His expertise includes sales and marketing, focusing in executive compensation and dealing with a multitude of financial products and services. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Nashville after service in Vietnam. Prior to joining Pancoast Benefits, he was employed by a major property and casualty carrier and an international consulting firm for 21 years.
Angie serves as the
operations manager for Pancoast, where she is responsible for supervising the
account managers and day-to-day administration for all clients. During her seven
years with Pancoast, Angie has provided account management services for numerous
clients ranging in size from 50 to over 8,000 employees. Prior to joining
Pancoast, Angie worked with UnitedHealthcare. She earned a B.S. degree from the
University of Tennessee.
